My Opinion

I thought this was a really good and compelling book. I liked hearing about the Lisbons from the neighborhood boys' perspectives because it's such a new approach at narrating a book, at least for me it is. I really liked the sisters and how they interacted with each other and it made me kind of wish I could have four sisters. However, the book skipped around a lot. One moment the narrators could be talking about a character and then the next moment it could be talking about the decline of the Lisbon household. It was very confusing and I wish Jeffery Eugenides had organized it better. Other than that, I thought this was a really good book and so different from what I've read in my past, but it's a very good different.
