Born on March 8, 1960 in Detroit Michigan, Jeffrey Eugenides graduated from Brown University and Stanford University. His first novel, "The Virgin Suicides", published in 1993, is critically acclaimed, being translated into 15 different languages and made into a movie. His novel "Middlesex" took over the spotlight and by winning Eugenides the Pulitzer Prize in 2003. Presently, he is a husband and father and is residing in Princeton, New Jersey, where he is a Professor of Creative Writing.
